Our Story

Why We Started

The decision to open her own clinic became clear in October 2022, following a series of health challenges her husband faced after the birth of their second daughter. Wanting the flexibility to care for her family while also serving children in need, Morgan took a leap of faith and officially launched her private practice.

Since then, Paul has been by her side every step of the way—from painting walls and assembling equipment in the early days to now serving as Patient Services Manager as the practice continues to grow. What started as a one-woman practice in a 700 sq. ft. space has blossomed into a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic spanning over 4,000 sq. ft., with a second location opening in Kingfisher.

At Gonzales Therapy Services, the journey has always been about more than just growth—it’s about making a lasting impact on children and families in the communities we serve.

Gonzales Therapy Services began as Gonzales SLP Services, a solo practice founded by Morgan Gonzales, MS, CCC-SLP. Initially providing speech therapy to children in Enid, Morgan was inspired by her husband, Paul, who had predicted back in graduate school that she would one day open her own clinic.

Before launching her own practice, Morgan spent five years gaining hands-on experience in a variety of settings, including acute care, long-term acute care, home health, inpatient pediatric psych, and outpatient therapy. During that time, she also helped build a pediatric outpatient therapy program for another company, which gave her insight into what it takes to create a successful therapy practice.

Gonzales Therapy Services was born out of a deep understanding of the challenges families face when trying to access specialized pediatric therapy in rural Oklahoma.

Our journey began with a long waitlist for speech therapy, highlighting a major gap in services for children in our area. Families were struggling to get their children the support they needed, and I knew there had to be a better solution. But it wasn’t until I faced my own personal challenge that I truly understood the urgency of the need.

When my youngest daughter was almost two years old and still not walking, I sought a pediatric physical therapist to help her. The only therapist in town was fully booked, leaving me with no choice but to drive 1.5 hours each week to El Reno for her physical therapy sessions. That firsthand experience of struggling to find care for my own child solidified my mission—to bring high-quality, specialized pediatric therapy to families in our community so they wouldn’t have to travel long distances for essential care.

Our Mission

At Gonzales Therapy Services, our mission is to empower children and their families through comprehensive, compassionate care that integrates speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We believe that to truly support a child's growth, we must also support their family. By fostering a nurturing environment, providing individualized therapies, and offering family-centered support, we strive to help every child reach their fullest potential and thrive in all aspects of life.

At Gonzales Therapy Services, there is no judgment. If a child needs to stim, move, or express big feelings, we welcome it. This is the perfect learning environment for them to build new skills in a way that respects their unique needs.

For parents, we offer more than just therapy for their child—we offer a moment of peace. With a comfortable waiting area and a coffee bar, parents can take a break, unwind, and feel confident knowing their child is in safe, knowledgeable hands. Whether it’s catching up on a book, scrolling on their phone, or simply enjoying a quiet moment, we want caregivers to feel just as supported as the children we serve.

At Gonzales Therapy Services, you’re not just another patient—you’re family.

Walking through our doors, we want every child and family to immediately feel a sense of safety, acceptance, and support. We understand that many parents feel stressed when their child struggles with sensory needs, emotional regulation, or behavior challenges—especially in public spaces.

A Safe Space for Families

Before opening Gonzales Therapy Services, there were a handful of therapists in the area who worked with children, but no true multidisciplinary pediatric clinic. Many families had no choice but to bring their children to facilities primarily designed for adults, where therapists could see kids but weren’t fully specialized in pediatric care.

I wanted to change that.

At Gonzales Therapy Services, we created an environment designed specifically for children—from the therapy spaces to the treatment approaches. Our clinic isn’t just a place that accepts pediatric patients; it’s a place that specializes in them. By offering speech, occupational, and physical therapy under one roof, we provide a truly integrated, child-focused experience, ensuring that every child gets the specialized support they need, right here in their own community.
